Govt school inundated for 15 days: Congressman Dasoju Sravan attacks TRS government | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: Dasoju Sravan, AICC national spokesperson and Khairtabad Congress incharge, chastised chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy on Monday for allowing government schools to fall into disrepair.
He paid a visit to the government primary school at BJR Nagar in the Khairtabad constituency to express his concern about the situation, which has been inundated with rain water for the past 15 days.
The spokesperson expressed shock over this, saying that none of the officials had even visited it once, let alone taken care to drain the water from the school, where hundreds of students from poor and underprivileged backgrounds study.
It has been observed that this is not the first time that the government primary school in BJR Nagar has been inundated with rain water and it is a common occurrence during the rainy season. “However, neither the local MLA Danam Nagender nor the DEO have taken any steps to find a solution. Unfortunately, MLA Danam Nagender is preoccupied with politics,” fired senior Congress leader.
He claimed that KCR and education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy have no regard for the education and empowerment of poor children. “But what are the authorities doing? Why didn’t DEO take action after the problem had been going on for 15 days and the school had been closed? Who is to blame for this egregious neglect?” he sought to know.
