Congress’ fight should be against TRS and BJP and not the bureaucrats: Madhu Yashki Goud | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: All India Congress Campaign Committee chairman for Telangana Madhu Yashki Goud on Saturday said it is not advisable to target IAS and IPS officers from any state and that the fight of the Congress is against KCR-led TRS and Modi-led BJP.
A day after party veteran V Hanumanth Rao found fault with Revanth comments, Yashki in an indirect reference to the TPCC chief’s comment on bureaucrats from Bihar on Saturday said: “All India Service officers and employees usually go by what the government says. It is not correct that a leader of a national party like Congress differentiates bureaucrats on a regional basis. It doesn’t make any difference from which state the bureaucrats belong to if they are indulging in corruption. Like Telangana, Bihar is also part of India.
However, the AICC leader sought to caution the bureaucrats that some of their colleagues who had allegedly signed on a few particular files in the past had gone to jail on the charges of corruption. Also, Yashki wondered if there was any guarantee that the IAS and IPS officers who belong to Telangana would join or at least extend support to Congress’ for whom it is speaking.
Yashki continued his indirect attack on Revanth Reddy stating that there is no guarantee that the public meetings being organised as part of “Mana Ooru-Mana Poru” will fetch votes. “Soon we will tour villages, form campaign committees in every gram panchayat and hold interactive meetings with the voters under the trees in every village. Pada Yatras such as the one taken up by Bhatti Vikramarka are the need of the hour,” Yashki said.
