Long, strong, beautiful hair is everyone’s dream! Getting healthy hair is possible only if you keep it clean. Regular scalp & hair cleaning plays an important part in achieving a fast hair growth. Like we wash our face daily, we have to wash our hair daily too. Making a healthy hair washing routine will get you healthy & beautiful hair for sure!
Check out our tips on hair & scalp cleaning:
1. Brushing: Always brush your hair well before washing with a wide toothed brush to detangle the hair. Brush your scalp too gently to take off the dead skin resting over it.
2. Preconditioning: Oiling hair is a must! Slightly wet your hair and apply oil to its length. Let the oil rest in your hair for 5-10 min before washing. You can use any oil of your choice, we recommend basic oils like mustard, olive, coconut etc.
3. Shampoo: After preconditioning, wash your hair with a normal hair shampoo by massaging the scalp well. Don’t forget to rinse the shampoo well with water after washing.
4. Cold water: Use cool to cold water to wash your hair always. Hot water makes hair dry & rough, plus very unhealthy for the scalp.
5. Leave-in conditioner: Apply a few drops of a leave-in conditioner on the hair tips if your hair is dry in texture or is chemically styled.
6. Hair spa: Once a month you should go for a hair spa treatment to keep your hair fit. You can visit professionals or do it at home with a DIY hair spa kit.
7. Scalp scrubbing: Scrubbing your scalp once in a fortnight is very important to keep scalp fresh & dandruff free. You can use products available in the market for scalp scrubbing or make a scrub at home – mix fresh aloe vera gel + sugar (granulated), apply on the scalp and massage gently for 5 minutes before washing.
8. Ice bath: Once a week give your hair an Ice Bath, rinse your hair length (avoid scalp) with ice water after shampoo. This will work on the outer layer of your hair and make it super smooth.
9. Clean before sleep: If you have used setting products on your hair, make sure to wash them off from your hair before you sleep to avoid breakage and dryness. Always make sure to sleep with a clean scalp & hair.
10. Wash daily: Never skip washing, hair should be washed daily with preconditioning. This will make your hair healthy over time without much effort.
You cannot make your hair healthy even with the most expensive products and treatments if your hair and scalp are not clean. Make it a habit to shampoo your hair daily after a preconditioning. If it is clean, it is healthy!
