Chikkadpally Murder News: Man murdered in Chikkadpally, hunt on for another vagabond | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: A 35-year-old vagabond was murdered by a homeless person at Chikkadpally on Monday night. Police identified the accused through CCTV footage near the crime scene and launched a manhunt to nab him. According to police, the incident happened near Hanuman temple at Vivek Nagar in Chikkadpally.
Locals, who saw a man lying dead in a pool of blood on the footpath near the temple, alerted the police. Police identified the victim as Kunti Srinu, 40, and the accused has been identified as Seetharam.
Cops found out that the victim was a vagabond and he used to roam with a homeless person in the locality, collecting scrap. The victim suffered a severe head injury and a boulder was found near the body.
Police verified the CCTV footage and noticed the suspect moving in the locality on Monday night. “We suspect after the victim slept on the footpath, the accused killed him by hurling a boulder on his head,” Chikkadpally ACP A Yadagiri said. A murder case was registered under section 302 of IPC and body was shifted to hospital for postmortem examination.
