CBSE results: Many schools achieve 100% success in Hyderabad | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: Despite a substantial drop in the overall national pass percentage in CBSE results, majority of the schools across the city managed to excel with 100% results this year.
School managements cite that despite the Covid constraints, students managed to adapt to the online coaching much better this year and secured higher scores. “Despite the Covid constraints, our students did not just manage to persevere but also around 17 students secured above 90% this year,” Rekha Rao, principal of Obul Reddy Public School told TOI. VN Chakravarthi, principal of Pragathi Central School, Kukatpally noted that 63 out of 209 students who appeared from their school had scored over 90% in all subjects.
“Our overall, class average this year stood at 81% which is very good. Around 83 students scored above 75% in their class 10 results,” Chakravathi told TOI. Interestingly, most of the school toppers across the city happened to be girls who have dominated all streams including commerce, MPC and humanities and also class 10.
Arguably, the highest score in the state was achieved by Candor Shrine Senior Secondary School with a student achieving 498 in class 10 results. In DPS, Nacharam, 28 students scored above 95%. “A total of 74 students have scored 90% and above, 210 students have scored 80% and above, 375 scored 70% and above and all the 444 students (100%),” Sunitha Rao, principal of DPS Nacharam stated.
