Burglar Held With Jewellery Worth ₹24l | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: A person from Jagtial, who was involved in different burglary cases, was arrested by Rachakonda police on Friday. Police seized stolen items worth 24 lakh from the possession of the accused.
Police said that on February 2, when the victim, who resides in Goskonda village, went out of town, unidentified burglars stole gold and silver ornaments besides 1 lakh cash from his house.
When police reached the spot and collected evidences including fingerprints from the scene of offence, they found that the accused, Shaik Yamin, was a repeat offender. Police traced the accused in Jagtial through his phone location. During the investigation, police found that three more accused, Osman, Laxman and an unidentified person, were involved in the burglary. The three accused are absconding.
The accused, Yamin, has been involved in 41 offences since 2010. In the past, he was arrested on several occasions at different places across Telangana.
He was also an accused in a rape case. Earlier, he committed 16 offences in Rachakonda, Gadwal, Cyberabad, Wanaparthy, Medak and other places. Police seized 350 gm gold, 1.5 kg silver and 1.50 lakh cash.
