HYDERABAD: Strongly reacting to BJP national general secretary BL Santhosh’s alleged remarks that those who made allegations against him in Poachgate case would face consequences, Telangana planning board vice chairman B Vinod Kumar said that it was his own party workers/agents who first took his name and not BRS.
Santhosh, who addressed the party’s training programme for Vistaraks (full-time workers) of 80 parliamentary constituencies of southern states through virtual mode on Wednesday, attended the camp being organised at a private resorts on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Thursday.
Santhosh is believed to have made these remarks at the party meeting in Hyderabad on Thursday.
“Santhosh’s name figured in the conversation between the Poachgate accused. It is clear in the video footage. They also explained how Santhosh played a key role in bringing down democratically elected governments in Karnataka and MP by purchasing MLAs,” Vinod said on Friday. Vinod said that the accused also explained in the video how the MLAs were shifted to other places to pull down the governments.
On Santhosh’s alleged remark that he became popular in Telangana after Poachgate, Vinod said it was true but pointed out that the senior BJP leader had become known in the state for the wrong reasons. Vinod said that the BJP leadership was worried about the BRS and KCR and that was why the entire brass of the saffron party was focussing on Telangana.
The ex-MP said that the forensic reports also confirmed the genuineness of video footage which cannot be rejected by the BJP national secretary and dared the Santosh to deny this.
