Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, Pinarayi Vijayan to attend BRS public meeting in Telangana on Wednesday | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Three chief ministers — Arvind Kejriwal, Bhaghwant Mann and Pinarayi Vijayan — will take part in the public meeting being conducted by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Wednesday at Khammam district headquarters in Telangana.
Uttar Pradesh former chief minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and CPI general secretary D Raja will also participate in the meeting.
The three CMs will participate in the launching of the mass eye-screening programme Kanti Velugu second phase and also the inauguration of the integrated collectorate for Khammam.
This will be the first public meeting being conducted by the BRS after the party converted as a national party last month.
Chief minister and BRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao took this meeting as prestigious and invited his counterparts and other leaders to the meeting to get national attention.
The party leaders claim the meeting would be historical, which is being organised with about five lakh people.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) conducted a similar massive public meeting soon after the formation of the TRS named ‘Simha Garjana’ in May, 2001 in Karimnagar.
Now Khammam will be the first meeting after the TRS took a new avatar as the BRS.
Along with 10 assembly constituencies, people from three assembly segments Dornakal, Mahbubabad and Suryapet will attend the meeting.
Since it is the public meeting of the BRS, all eyes are on CM KCR’s speech in the public meeting.
He is expected to announce his party policies, contesting from other states and other issues apart from attacking the BJP during his speech in the public meeting.
While the arrangements are being made for the public meeting in the sprawling 100 acres, another 448 acres are being dedicated for 20 parking locations.
Over 1,000 volunteers are being appointed for the meeting, minister T Harish Rao, who is overseeing the arrangements, said.
