Accused in jewellery shop robbery case arrested in Tirupati | Amaravati News

TIRUPATI: Police on Tuesday arrested an accused in a jewellery shop robbery case in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati and recovered stolen gold and silver articles.
SP P Parameswara Reddy IPS said some unidentified miscreants broke open into the wall of a jewellery shop at Raja Veedhi in Venkatagiri and decamped with 600 grams of gold, 5kg of silver and Rs 50,000 cash.
Following a complaint lodged by the victim, the special teams of the Tirupati crime division and the Venkatagiri police arrested the accused, N Venkayya.
Police recovered 637 grams of gold and 4.9kg of silver and Rs 13,000 cash from the possession of the accused.
