Vivo X60, Vivo X60 Pro Debut With Exynos 1080 SoC, 120Hz Display
Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro have been launched as the company’s latest flagship phones in China. Almost seven months after the Vivo X50 series entered the market, Vivo has brought Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro with better specifications and an upgraded design. Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro both come with Samsung’s Exynos 1080 SoC that debuted in November. The two new Vivo phones also share an E3 AMOLED display that offers up to 120Hz refresh rate and come with Zeiss optics. There is also a centre-aligned hole-punch display. Alongside Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro, Vivo X60 Pro+ has been teased as the series’ new premium phone that will debut in January.
Vivo X60, Vivo X60 Pro price, availability details
Vivo X60 price has been set at CNY 3,498 (roughly Rs. 39,300) for the 8GB + 128GB storage variant in China, whereas the 8GB + 256GB storage option of the phone carries a price tag of CNY 3,798 (roughly Rs. 42,700). The top-of-the-line 12GB + 256GB storage option is available at CNY 3,998 (roughly Rs. 45,000). Vivo X60 Pro, on the other hand, comes in a single 12GB + 256GB storage model that is priced at CNY 4,498 (roughly Rs. 50,600).
In terms of colour options, Vivo X60 comes in Grey, Purple, and White shades, while Vivo X60 Pro has Grey and Purple colours. Both phones are available for pre-orders in China, with their shipments beginning on January 8. However, there is no word on their global debut.
Aside from Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro, Vivo has teased Vivo X60 Pro+ that will launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC in January.
In June, Vivo launched Vivo X50, Vivo X50 Pro, and Vivo X50 Pro+ in China with the same starting price of CNY 3,498 (roughly Rs. 39,300). Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro debuted in India in July.
Vivo X60 specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo X60 runs on Android 11 with OriginOS 1.0 on top. It features a 6.56-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,376 pixels) AMOLED display with a 19.8:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, and P3 colour gamut. The display also supports HDR10 and HDR10+ standards. Under the hood, Vivo X60 comes with the octa-core Exynos 1080 SoC, coupled with ARM Mali-G78 GPU and up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The phone flaunts a triple rear camera setup that houses a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, along with four-axis optical image stabilisation (OIS). The camera setup also includes a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 13-megapixel portrait shooter.
For selfies and video chats, Vivo X60 offers a 32-megapixel camera at the front, with an f/2.45 lens.
Vivo X60 comes with up to 256GB of onboard UFS 3.1 storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. The phone also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Vivo has provided a 4,300mAh battery on Vivo X60, with 33W fast charging. The phone measures 159.63×75.01×7.36mm and weighs up to 176.2 grams.
Vivo X60 Pro specifications
Just like Vivo X60, the dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo X60 Pro also runs on Android 11 with OriginOS 1.0 and comes with the 6.56-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,376 pixels) AMOLED display. The phone is also powered by Exynos 1080 SoC, along with 12GB of RAM as standard.
In terms of optics, there is a superior quad rear camera setup over what you’ll get on Vivo X60. The camera setup features a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.48 lens and OIS support, 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 13-megapixel portrait shooter, and an 8-megapixel periscope shooter with an f/3.4 aperture. The periscope shooter particularly enables 5x optical zoom and 60x super zoom. The camera setup is also equipped with a laser autofocus sensor.
For capturing selfies, Vivo X60 Pro houses a 32-megapixel camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.45 lens.
Vivo X60 Pro comes with 256GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.
You’ll get a 4,200mAh battery on Vivo X60 Pro that also supports 33W fast charging. The phone measures 158.57×73.24×7.59mm and weighs 178 grams.
