BENGALURU: Communications and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has told the country’s top unicorn founders, such as Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Udaan’s Sujeet Kumar and InMobi’s Naveen Tewari, that Indian entrepreneurs should build more apps or platforms as this is a golden opportunity for the country.
“India mein apps download bahut hota hai, India mein apps upload nahi hota hai (India sees a lot of downloads but not as many uploads) ,” he said at an event.
While the comments were cheered by top businessmen at the event, he did not make any direct reference to the ban on 59 Chinese apps.
