Sit: 39-year-old welder arrested by SIT for terror plot in Hyderabad | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Sleuths of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrested 39-year-old welder Mohammed Abdul Kaleem in a terror conspiracy case. NIA has so far arrested three persons from the city in the same case for planning a terror attack with China-made hand grenades received from Pak-based handlers.
Kaleem alias Arshad khan, resident of NTR Nagar in LB Nagar, was arrested by SIT sleuths for aiding suspected Lashkar operatives Zahed alias Md Abdul Wajid, Samiuddin and Maaz Hassan Farooq — who were arrested for allegedly planning a terror attack in the city using four hand grenades sent by Pak-based Hyderabadi terror operatives, including Zahed’s brother Abdul Majeed, Farhatullah Ghori and Sidique Bin Osman.
As per police interrogation report, Zahed got `40 lakh through hawala route from Pak-based handlers to execute a terror plot in Hyderabad targeting religious events to be held at Amberpet and Khairatabad.
Police recovered `20.4 lakh cash, two bikes and five cell phones from accused. Cops questions eight other suspects including four hawala operators and arrested Khaleel, who allegedly gave `10 lakh to Zahed. “Khaleel received the amount through hawala operators on instructions of Pak -based handlers and gave the same to Zahed,” police said.
