Waltair Railway Division’s gross earnings cross Rs 6,630-crore mark | Visakhapatnam News
VISAKHAPATNAM: Waltair Railway Division‘s gross earnings crossed Rs 6,630-crore mark in the current financial year till the first week of January with a 9.75% growth, DRM Anup Satpathy said.
He said the Division achieved loading of 50 million tonnes of freight by the first week of January showing 4% growth in freight loading and 5.7% growth in freight revenue.
Waltair Division bagged 14 shields for best performance by various departments at 67th Railway Week Awards.
Visakhapatnam railway station was credited with Eat Right Station- the first railway station in south India to get this certificate.
