Congress to organise cricket tournaments, medical camps to connect with voters in Hyderabad | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: The city wing of the Congress will organise cricket tournaments, medical camps, and street corner meetings in all parts of Hyderabad city as part of the two-month-long ‘haath se haath jodo abhiyan’ starting January 26.
Congress Hyderabad district committee president Sameer Waliullah on Tuesday said medical camps would be held in all Assembly constituencies while cricket tournaments would be organised in all municipal divisions.
The street corner meetings will be held in municipal wards to convey the message of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.
“We will also distribute flyers of Rahul Gandhi in every household during the door-to-door campaign. These flyers will be printed in English, Telugu and Urdu languages. We will encourage the residents to paste the stickers of Rahul Gandhi’s message on their doors and also vehicles,” he said.
Fruits and medicines will be distributed among patients in government hospitals in Hyderabad.
The ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan’ was the perfect campaign to strengthen the party at the booth level in Hyderabad, said Sameer Waliullah.
“We are planning to reach every household in Hyderabad during the two-month-long campaign. This will help us not only connect the people with Congress, but also in getting a closer look at the problems being faced by the people in their areas. Based on the inputs received during the campaign, we will formulate a strategy to strengthen ourselves in the city in future,” he said.
Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi’s tour schedule to Telangana to participate in a walkathon along with Mahila Congress members during the valedictory of haath se haath jodo abhiyan in the city would be finalised soon by the AICC and sent to the TPCC.
