Hyderabad police book notorious gangster Ayub Pahelwan for extortion | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: About four months after being released from jail, notorious gangster Ayub Khan aka Ayub Pahelwan and his associates have been booked for allegedly threatening a woman in a property dispute.
A case of extortion has been registered by the Hussainialam police.
Jameelunissa Begum (57), a resident of Khilwat, lodged a complaint with the Hussainialam police alleging that rowdy sheeter Ayub Khan and his associates Meraj Khan, Munna of Murad Nagar, Ansar, Azhar Baba was threatening her to vacate her property located at MOC Colony in Bahadurpura.
Claiming that she is the owner of the house measuring 154 square yards, the complainant said that the gangster was forcibly trying to lay claim on her house. She added that Ayub Pahelwan and his henchmen allegedly threatened to kill her and her sons if she didn’t move out.
“Based on her complaint, a case under Sections 384 (Extortion) and 511 were registered against the accused,” said M Narasimha, sub-inspector, Hussainialam.
“We have started an investigation and our team is trying to track the movements of Ayub Khan,” said G Naresh Kumar, inspector of Hussainialam police station.
Ayub Pahelwan is a resident of Bilal Nagar that falls under the Kalapather police station limits.
In September 2022, he walked out of jail after completing his prison term in a fake passport case that he was convicted in, in 2018. His conviction came after Ayub Pahelwan was detained at the Mumbai airport in December 2017 on his return from Saudi Arabia.
Following an enquiry by Hyderabad police he was found guilty of being in possession of a fake passport.
