TRS intentionally delaying Suryapet collectorate complex construction: Uttam Kumar Reddy | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Nalgonda MP and Congress leader N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday alleged that the construction of the new integrated district collectorate complex in Suryapet is intentionally being delayed as the TRS has been paying Rs 1 crore per annum rent to one of its party MLAs who owns the building.
“The role of a TRS MLA and some ministers is expected to be behind the delay in construction of a new building for the Suryapet district collectorate office to be accommodated. The present collectorate is located in Kamakshi Engineering College building near Durajpally village of Chivvemla mandal is far away from the town and inconvenient to the people. For years together, local people have been complaining about the unsuitability of the building and its location. The ruling TRS should come clear on these allegations,” demanded Uttam.
Uttam alleged that the ruling party MLAs and leaders were enjoying protection from the district collectors and superintendents of police. The common people are feeling the pressure of corruption from offices of tehsildars to district collectorates.
“People are fed up with the TRS leaders and would soon bring the Congress to power for a better governance,” he said.
Later, he paid floral tributes to former chief minister Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s portrait on the occasion of his death anniversary on Friday.
