Telangana Congress leaders urge Amit Shah to take action against KCR-family | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: The Congress on Monday demanded Union home minister Amit Shah to come clear whether the BJP government at the centre will take action against chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for alleged corruption in Kaleshwaram project.
Amit Shah, during his speech at the public meeting in Munugode on Sunday said Kaleshwaram is KCR’s ATM. Instead of repeating this statement in his public meetings, the Union home minister should inform the people why he has not ensured that CBI, ED and income tax departments took action against KCR, said Congress MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC campaign committee chairman Madhu Yashki Goud and AICC programmes implementation committee chairman A Maheshwar Reddy.
They alleged that the Modi-government was shielding the KCR-family. Is it because TRS is BJP’s B-team? BJP and TRS are friends at the national level and rivals in the state (Gali Mein Kushti and Delhi Mein Dosti). Amit Shah’s statement on corruption in Kaleshwaram without taking any action against KCR has only exposed the fact that BJP and TRS are secret allies, alleged Uttam.
“Shah spoke about the failed promises of KCR and petrol prices. Even the BJP government at the centre has failed to deliver on its promises like 2 crore jobs every year, depositing Rs 15 lakh in bank accounts of the poor or the much-hyped ache din’,” Uttam said.
Bhatti said Amit Shah should’ve explained why promises like setting up of a Kazipet rail coach factory, Bayyaram steel plant in Telangana were not delivered. Shah could have informed the reasons behind BJP government scrapping the prestigious ITIR project having potential to generate 50 lakhs jobs in Hyderabad and its neighbouring districts. The Modi government neither gave national status to Palamuru Rangareddy irrigation project nor set up the turmeric board, he said
Madhu Yashki Goud said Amit Shah did not make any announcement that benefits the people of Munugode constituency or Nalgonda district.
