Telangana: On Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary, Congress to tour 175 villages in Munugode for bypoll preparation | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: In its preparation to retain the Munugode assembly seat when the byelection is held, the Congress party has drawn up a schedule, including holding programmes on Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary on August 20.
The slogan for the programme in which Congress leaders will participate will be “Mana Munugode Mana Congress”.
AICC campaign committee chairman Madhu Yashki Goud announced on Thursday, that a ‘pada yatra’ would be conducted in Munugode on August 13 following a meeting at the mandal-level on August 16.
In the programmes to be held to commemorate the birth anniversary of the former prime minister on August 20, Congress leaders will tour 175 villages and participate in meetings.
Yashki said the sitting Congress legislator K Rajagopal Reddy had resigned after chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao returned from Delhi.
Meanwhile, the Congress leadership on Thursday announced Lok Sabha-wise responsibilities for its AICC secretaries.
N S Bose Raju, ex-MLC has been given organisational responsibilities with immediate effect for Nalgonda, Bhongir, Nagarkurnool, Mahbubnagar, Medak and Chevella apart from Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, Kisan Congress, RGPRS and overall coordination.
Another AICC secretary Nadeem Javed, former MLA, has been given responsibilities for Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, Zahirabad, Nizamabad, and Adilabad apart from Youth Congress, Minority, OBC, SC and Adivasi departments.
Rohit Chaudhary has been given responsibilities for Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Khammam, Warangal and Mahbubabad, apart from NSUI, Jawahar Bal Manch, Social media department, legal department and Fishermen Congress.
