HYDERABAD: A man, who was creating nuisance in a drunken condition in Mettuguda, was taken into custody by Chilkalguda police. However, a constable was suspended for kicking him.
A video showing policemen beating the man went viral. However, police released another video on the man’s antics on Sunday night. In the video, cops were seen pulling a stick from the accused. After policemen recovered the stick with great difficulty, the accused tried to attack a constable by snatching a helmet, which the latter was holding. In the melee, the constable pushed and kicked him.
Deputy commissioner of police (north zone) Chandana Deepti said cops got several complaints over the man. Accused even barged into a house and tried to hurt a couple with a newborn baby. “There were several cases booked against accused,” she said.
